The Center representatives visit Japan December 2-8, 2019
Following the cooperation agreement on experience-sharing in pediatric surgery with Oita University, delegation of the National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology - Ekaterina Yarotskaya (Head, Department of International Cooperation), and Elena Dorofeeva, and Andrey Panin (Neonatal Surgery Department) - visited Japan on December 2-8, 2019.
The delegation held meetings with the representatives of the Tokai University School of Medicine (Tokyo), the Kobe University Hospital, and Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine (Kobe). They had tours of the neonatal and pediatric departments of university hospitals; observed surgical procedures; had discussions with Japanese colleagues on neonatal and pediatric care, and gave presentations about the perinatal services in the Russian Federation and about the Center.
On December 5-7, the delegation took part in the sessions of the 32nd Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Endoscopic Surgery (JSES2019) (Yokohama) and in Japan-Russia Round Table. They discussed with Japanese partners the prospects for cooperation (planning of joint activities: February 5-7, 2020 – joint simulation-training course for pediatric surgeons, March 16-17, 2020 – live surgery course).
