FETAL SURGERY

• Aspiration of cysts in cystic adenomatosis of the lungs
• Fetocide of a fetus with congenital malformations in multiple pregnancy
• Therapeutic amniocentesis and introduction of metabolic preparations into the uterine cavity in patients with fetal growth retardation
• Amniopatch for non-infectious high lateral rupture of the membranes
• Balloon occlusion of the trachea in case of diaphragmatic hernia
• Interstitial laser coagulation of the vessels for lung sequestration
• Cystoscopy, dissection of the urethral valves
• Surgery for feto-fetal transfusion syndrome (FFTS)
• Fetal therapy for non-immune fetal hydrops

The Division participates in the International Project “Fetal surgery of fetus with spina bifida». The purpose of the project is the development of fetal surgery for correction of spina bifida in Russia; building and developing a stable system of continuous management of children with spina bifida by a multidisciplinary team of specialists from the moment of diagnosis; research and analysis of the short and longtime outcomes of fetal surgery for correction of spina bifida.
