Chinese delegation from Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Capital Medical University visits the Kulakov Center
On October 01-03, 2024, under the cooperation agreement with the FSBI “National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, a delegation from Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Capital Medical University visited Moscow.
During the visit, experts from China took part in special Russian-Chinese sessions at the National Scientific and Educational Ultrasound Congress “Ultrasound diagnostics in obstetrics, gynecology and perinatology: complex issues and ways to solve them” and at the XXV Anniversary All-Russian Scientific and Educational Forum “Mother and Child-2024”.
In his opening speech, Academician of the RAS, Prof. Gennady Sukhikh highlighted the importance and benefits of cooperation between the two leading medical institutions in the field of maternal and child health. He also thanked the Chinese colleagues for their hospitality to the Center's specialists attending the Capital Conference on Maternal and Child Health in Beijing in May 2024. The Director of the Beijing Hospital, Prof. Yin Chenghong, also greeted the Forum guests via live video.
At the Forum's Russian-Chinese session, presentations were made by: Deputy Director of the Beijing Hospital, Prof. Wu Qingqing (“The role of ultrasound in safeguarding the health of women and children”); Head of the Obstetrics Department of the Beijing Hospital, Prof. Li Guanghui (“Perinatal medicine. Weight control during pregnancy: the Chinese experience”).
At the Ultrasound Congress, presentations were made by the following Chinese specialists: Prof. Wu Qingqing (“Examination of the brain protocol and tips and tricks”), Deputy Head of the Ultrasound Department, Prof. Sun Lijuan (“A new look at the diagnosis of fetal brain malformations: a method of highly sensitive blood flow analysis”) and Ultrasound Doctor Song Shijing (“3D visualization of the fetal neck and intrathoracic structures”).
At the end of the Sessions, the Chinese experts were presented with Certificates of distinguished participants of the Forum.
On October 2, Chinese delegates visited the FSBI “National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. They were introduced to the work of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, including the MRI, Ultrasound, and X-ray Diagnostics Departments; the Educational Center “Infertile Marriage and ART” named after Frederic Paulsen (Senior); Prof. B.V. Leonov Department of Assisted Technologies in Infertility Treatment; the Department of Neonatal Surgery; the Simulation and Training Center. At the meeting with Gennady Sukhikh, Director of the Center, the parties discussed further plans for cooperation between the institutions in the field of reproductive medicine, postpartum rehabilitation, ultrasound diagnostics in neonatology, joint educational activities, etc.
Concluding the meeting, Director Gennady Sukhikh noted the effectiveness of cooperation between the two medical institutions and expressed his hope for further fruitful cooperation.
