Visit of the delegetion from National Social Security Agency of Indonesia and the representatives of Rosatom State Corporation to the Kulakov National Medical Research Center of the Ministry of Health of Russia

On October 28, 2025 the delegation headed by Mrs. Iftida Yasar, Member of the Supervisory Board of the National Social Security Agency of Indonesia, which manages state hospitals and makes decisions on funding medical technologies, visited the Kulakov Center in Moscow. The Indonesian delegation was accompanied by representatives of Rosatom Research and Development Solutions JSC dealing with promotion of national technologies of State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom” in healthcare worlwide. The delegation was met by the Director of the Kulakov Center, Academician Gennady Sukhikh, and Professor Ekaterina Yarotskaya, Head of the International Cooperation Department, who introduced the guests to the Center's structure and activities.

Indonesian colleagues visited the Department of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation, and Intensive Care for Newborns, Neonatal and Pediatric Surgery Unit of the Insitute of Neonatology and Pediatrics headed by Dr. Artem Burov, where they were demonstrated the Tianox device used in the Center for therapy of pulmonary hypertension in newborns and preterm infants. This is a unique first machine in the world, generating nitric oxide (NO) from ambient air. It was developed by State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom” in cooperation with the experts of the Kulakov Center and is designed for intensive therapy for adults and children, including newborns, with pulmonary hypertension and other critical conditions.

Foreign guests appreciated the functionality, efficiency, and innovation of this technology and expressed interest in its implementation in Indonesian hospitals.

The colleagues from Indonesia also attended the Simulation and Training Centre, where they could observe practice-oriented trainings for neonatologists and obstetricians as a part of the International Seminars “Ways to reduce maternal and infant mortality,” which healthcare specialists from Indonesia regularly attend, along with the doctors from other countries of Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

The Indonesian guests were impressed by the Kulakov Center functions and performance and expressed hope for continuing cooperation in organizing mutual activities for medical institutions and training specialists from both countries.
