The XXXIV International Congress “New Technologies for Diagnosis and Treatment of Gynecologic Diseases” with Endoscopic Course took place on June 08-11, 2021
Due to COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions the Congress was held on-line on the ZOOM platform.
The Congress was broadcasted from the National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov and from the studio in the Russian News and Information Agency RIA Novosti. The broadcast was accessible on YouTube.
63 Russian and 34 foreign experts from 12 countries made their presentations at the Congress. Totally, 3734 participants from 32 countries, 547 cities and 82 regions of Russia took part in the Congress.
The Congress program included an Endoscopic Course with special sessions on robotic surgery, intrauterine surgery, use of surgical energies and suture materials.
The Congress comprised 8 experts` schools on laparoscopic prolapse surgery, hysteroscopy, uterine and vaginal malformations, fetal medicine, gynecological oncological surgery, endometriosis surgery, and topographic anatomy. Each School started with a thematic master-class held by the leading world expert.
The program also included 7 plenary sessions devoted to the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of endometriosis, new technologies in reproductive medicine, innovations in obstetrics, women's health and quality of life.
The issues of reproductive health during COVID-19 pandemic, and the place and role of artificial intelligence in reproductive medicine were in the special scope.
During the congress, a special round table on new clinical recommendations in gynecology and the contest of young scientists were held.
The total number of views on YouTube and the official website of the Congress for all 4 days amounted to 15289 viewers, that is, on average about 4000 people a day. Many positive comments marked the success of the online Congress.
The Congress was accredited in the system of continuing medical education with the assignment of credits (points) to the participants.
