The Department was established in 1984. Since then, specialists of the Department have been providing diagnostics and infertility treatment with the use of assisted reproductive technologies.

More than 35 years of successful activity helped many couples to become the parents. As a result, of in vitro fertilization (IVF) programs, more than 17,000 children were born in our Center.

SPECALISTS OF THE DEPARTMENT

The staff of the Department comprises 18 specialists specialized in obstetrics and gynecology, reproductology, embryology.

Many of them are the authors of original developments in reproductology, practical gynecology, embryology and related medical specialties.

Embryologists of the department are very well trained and have an outstanding practical experience. Each of the embryologists has a background of more than 1,000 cycles of in vitro fertilization.

FOCUS AREA

The Department offers IVF programs, programs for intrauterine insemination, a program of “delayed motherhood”, microsurgery for infertility, ICSI, PICSI, preimplantation genetic screening of embryos. Interaction with the specialists of other departments, including andrologists and surgeons helps to achieve the birth of genetically related children with a single viable spermatozoa obtained in men as a result of minimally invasive surgical manipulations.

The Department offers treatment of the following causes of infertility:

  • Primary infertility
  • Secondary infertility
  • Tubo-peritoneal factor of infertility
  • Endocrine factor
  • Uterine factor
  • Endometriosis
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome
  • Immune factor
  • Unclear genesis
  • Impaired spermatogenesis
  • Genetic pathology
  • Other reproductive health disorders

In 2016, more than 3,000 cycles of ART were performed in the Department. The effectiveness of ART programs per embryo transfer reaches 39%.

The embryologic laboratory of the Department practically uses the most effective and safe methods allowing to improve the effectiveness of IVF treatment:

  • Cultivation and transfer of embryos at the blastocyst stage (5 days);
  • Selection of spermatozoa taking into account their physiological maturity and DNA fragmentation by binding to hyaluronic acid (PICSI -  preselected intracytoplasmic sperm injection) for the treatment of severe forms of male infertility;
  • Preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) of embryos.

Selective transfer of 1 embryo allowed to reduce the rate of multiple pregnancies by 30%.

Embryo transfer cancellation and subsequent embryo cryopreservation in patient with a risk of developing ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) has reduced the development of this complication by 2 times.

The professional team of highly qualified specialists provide comfortable individual treatment, gentle care and complete safety of patients.
