SIMULATION TRAINING
Mission of the Simulation Training Center is improvement of quality of medical care in Russia and abroad, through efficient system of professional development of medical specialists.
The main tasks of Simulation Training Center are:
-Determining gaps of medical training;
-Implementation of simulation and training technologies in medical education;
-Evaluation of efficiency of medical training;
-Development of learning models for medical specialists;
-Education of teachers/trainers for simulation and training centers.
At present, simulation training technologies are successfully applied in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, and anesthesiology and resuscitation.
The Simulation Training Center possesses a large collection of mannequins of various complicity, from basic models to sophisticated computed simulators. There are also simulators for training in gynecologic endoscopic surgery and ultrasound examination.
More than 100 educational programs have been elaborated in the Center. Field trainings as well as training of trainees and tutors are also regularly provided. The simulation trainings are especially in demand in the CIS and neighboring countries, where Russian language remains the language of international communication.
Along with training of doctors from various regions of Russia and FSU countries, the Simulation Training Center had held international educational seminars “Ways of reducing of infant mortality” in the frame of the Muskoka Initiative. For the past 7 years the educational trainings have involved 870 doctors from 26 countries worldwide, and were highly appreciated by the participants. All staff and trainers of the Simulation Training Center are competent and skilled medical specialists.
The training courses are often featured by invited experts from United Kingdom, France, Japan, Italy, Spain and Canada.
