The XV International Congress on Reproductive Medicine
Took place in the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on January 19-21, 2021.
Due to ongoing pandemic of COVID-19 and the related restrictions the Congress was held on-line using ZOOM platform and was broadcasted from the broadcasting studios of the Center’s and the Russian News and Information Agency RIA Novosti.
The Congress opened by the greetings of the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko. Totally, 5016 participants from 36 countries, 565 cities and 82 regions of Russia took part in the Congress including 70 Russian leading specialists and 51 foreign experts from 13 countries: USA, France, Japan, India, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, Israel, UAE and Canada. More than 120 speakers spoke at the Congress; specialists of the Center gave 29 presentations.
9 plenary sessions were held during the Congress: endometriosis – diagnostics, treatment, rehabilitation; COVID-19 and reproduction; infectious and inflammatory diseases of the female reproductive system; surgical treatment of endometriosis; perinatal diagnostics and fetal medicine; gynecologic oncology: rational approach to surgery and adjuvant therapy; infertility – new technologies in diagnosis and treatment; modern approaches to the prevention and treatment of reproductive disorders; new surgical technologies in reproductive medicine. Also there was held Master-Class in endoscopic surgery, and Young Scientists’ Contest.
On average every day there were up to 7000 online open access connections to the sessions of the Congress via Internet. Many positive comments marked the success of the online Congress.
