The Center has launched a joint project with WHO on “Improving the Quality of Hospital Care to Reduce Maternal, Newborn and Child deaths”

The project involves assessment of inpatient care in medical facilities of 4 participating countries (Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia and Vietnam) with subsequent practice-oriented training activities.

From May 17 to 22 in Tajikistan and from June 14 to 18 in Kyrgyz Republic, the first orientation meetings were held.

The meetings were attended by representatives of the National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov (Ekaterina Yarotskaya, Head of the Department of International Cooperation; Elizaveta Khamatkhanova, Head of the Department of Educational Simulation Technologies in Medicine) and the National Medical Research Center for Children's Health of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, by representatives of the WHO European and country  offices and national Ministries of Health.

The orientation activities included meetings with representatives of the Russian Federation Embassy, visits to medical institutions of 1-3 levels of care, visits to training facilities, and debriefing meetings on next actions planning.
