Meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Health and Social Services of the Republic of Namibia
March 26, 2024 representatives of the Ministry of Health and Social Services of the Republic of Namibia visited the Kulakov National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of the Ministry of Health of Russia: Ms. Taimi Amaambo – Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Yvonne Stephanus – Regional Health Director and Mr. Lawrence Siyanga – Chief Health Program Officer. The group was accompanied by Stanislav Stepakov from the Department of International Cooperation and Public Relations of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
The Center was represented by Prof. Dmitry Degtyarev – Deputy Director for Science of the Kulakov National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology; Dr. Grigory Khabas – Head of Innovative Oncology and Gynecology Department; Prof. Elizaveta Khamatkhanova – Head of the Department of Educational Simulation Technologies in Medicine and Prof. Ekaterina Yarotskaya – Head of the Department of International Cooperation.
Prior to the signing of the inter-ministerial agreement, the meeting was focused on mutual cooperation in the field of maternal and child health care, exchange of specialists and their training, including the possibility of organizing field training courses for obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatricians and oncogynecologists. In addition, the representatives of the Namibian Ministry of Health showed special interest in the work of the Innovative Oncology and Gynecology Department and the Simulation and Training Centre, the activities of which they observed during the visit.
