The staff of the Department includes specialists certified in obstetrics and gynecology, oncology and surgery.

The Department delivers high-quality treatment of benign and malignant pelvic conditions in women of all ages using innovative technologies.

Specialists of the Department perform surgical interventions by various approaches (mainly laparoscopic).

The specialists of the Department also provide surgical treatment of uterine fibroids with the use of blood-sparing technologies; advanced surgery for extensive and deep infiltrative endometriosis; genital prolapse surgical corrections; surgery for benign and malignant tumors.

Preservation of the reproductive function in young patients with precancer conditions and early-stage cancer is in special scope of care.

The Department develops new techniques for organ-sparing surgery and restoration of reproductive function.

The list of surgical procedures includes (but is not limited to) the following:

  • Laparoscopic myomectomy with temporary occlusion of uterine arteries (including large fibroids);
  • Comprehensive care in solving problems caused by expanded genital and extragenital endometriosis of any stage and severity;
  • Laparoscopic promontofixation for uterine prolapse;
  • Plastic surgery for colpoptosis using mesh implants or self-tissues;
  • Sling urethtropexy for stress urinary incontinence;
  • Treatment of sacrococcygeal teratomas, extraorganic pelvic and extraporitoneal masses;
  • General surgery, simultaneous and combined surgery, adhesiolysis of any difficulty (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, recession of pelvic varicosities, intestinal resection, etc);
  • Surgical treatment for benign ovarian conditions (tumors and cysts);
  • Radical abdominal laparoscopic trachelectomy at early stages of invasive cervical cancer;
  • Surgical treatment of endometrial cancer (simple hysterectomy, hysterectomy with pelvic lymph nodes dissection, Wertheim’s hysterectomy);
  • Surgical treatment of ovarian cancer;
  • Surgical treatment of vulvar cancer.
